Daytime’s rhumba rhythms turn to soft rock once a month at the Plaza Ballroom, north county’s newest music venue.
The Plaza Ballroom, a mirror-paneled, fancy white ballroom dance studio by day, has begun hosting nostalgia concerts at night featuring national recording artists from the 60’s through the 80’s called “An Intimate Evening with…”
This Friday, Little River Band is expected to sell out the chandelier-lit 400-seat ballroom, which is intimate enough that when Firefall played in July, band members circulated among the audience.

The schedule includes a 50th anniversary concert by Jefferson Airplane/Jefferson Starship on October 9th.
Plans are in the works for John Ford Coley, Michael McDonald and Pure Prairie League to perform in the coming months.
